Green Cottage truly was a home from home

Green Cottage truly was a home from home.  We have enjoyed our week here.  The weather has been great, so we have done lots of walking and visited local attractions.  We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio soaking up the sun.  RHB remains a firm family favorite.  Hope to return soon.

Impressive, quirky and homely

We loved staying in your impressive, quirky and homely cottage and had a fantastic time in Robin Hoods Bay and surrounding areas.  Weather was fantastic “a great time had by all”!  Would definitely recommend a stay in Green Cottage to anyone!  Will hopefully visit again in the near future.

Great Holiday

Had a great holiday in wonderful, quirky Green Cottage and Robin Hoods Bay.  Visited Staithes, Goathland and Whitby, had some lovely walks and ate some wonderful food.

What an amazing time we’ve had in Robin Hoods Bay.  Green Cottage was the perfect home from home.  So well equipped and cosy, we loved staying here.

Had a lovely stay in Green Cottage.  What an amazing house.  Our little girl cried actual tears – she wanted to stay in ‘her cottage’ !  Thank you, we will be back.

Lovely coal fire in kitchen.

Beautiful cottage and beautiful Bay.  Very quaint and quirky.  Weather perfect.  Lovely coal fire in kitchen, very cosy.  Ideal if you are walking enthusiasts.  Easy bus ride into Whitby.

First visit to Robin Hoods Bay

It was our first visit to Robin Hoods Bay and we’ve loved it.  Great cottage, very warm and comfortable.  Thank you for the welcome pack and coal/kindling.

Enjoyed walking around the lanes and fossil hunting on the beach.  Walks to Boggle Hole and at Falling Foss waterfall.  13 year old son did the junior off-roading Land Rover experience and rated it 5 star (By Bay Ness Farm).

We ate too many ice creams and cakes!  Seagull alarm calls every morning was lovely.

Really hope to visit again.

Comfortable, cosy Green Cottage

We were very comfortable in cosy Green Cottage.  It had everything we needed and we loved the decor and mix of modern and old.

Robin Hoods Bay is a beautiful, friendly place to stay and we enjoyed the pubs and cafe’s.

Would recommend the walk to Boggle Hole and the Theakstons Old Peculiar at The Laurel.

Will definitely stay here again, thanks.

We just love this place

Another fantastic stay in Green Cottage for our 5th wedding anniversary.  Cannot believe it is 5 years since we got married here in RHB.  Had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends over the weekend.  Great day celebrating at the Bay Hotel in Wainwrights Bar.  We just love this place and cannot wait to be back later in the year.

We loved our time here in this cosy cottage, the break was just what we needed.  We love the cottage so much we want to come back.  We did lots of local exploring (Whitby on the bus was easy) and loved coming back to the cosy kitchen.  Welcome pack was very welcome.  See you again soon.

We have had a lovely time in Robin Hoods Bay.  Green Cottage is a lovely cottage, we loved all the cosy, eclectic furnishings and found it very relaxing and welcoming.  We have enjoyed walking around the village, the pretty cottages and sitting by the sea and the walk to Boggle Hole.  We have also been to Whitby, Sandsend Beach, Scarborough, Filey and Staithes.  All well worth a visit.  Thankfully the sun has been out most days, making it even more enjoyable.  We have really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Robin Hoods Bay is beautiful

We loved our stay in Green Cottage. It was so cosy and we loved the details and features from the sails for blinds and stained glass.  Thank you for the welcome pack.  Robin Hoods Bay is beautiful.  We enjoyed doing the RHB smugglers trail.  The kids enjoyed the clues and finding out the history.  We loved crabbing on the Quarter Deck at high tide, visiting the RHB museum, dinner and breakfast at Brambles Bistro – some of our favourite meals ever!  Make sure to book – they get busy.  Dollies Sweet Shop – the waffles and ice cream were delicious!  We loved: (a short drive) watching the sunset by Whitby Abbey.  Sandsend  Beach – great place to splash in the sea and you can park near by.  We have loved staying here and would love to come back soon.

A lovely place to spend a week in Robin Hoods Bay

We really enjoyed our stay in Green Cottage – a lovely place to spend our week in RHB.  Our highlights were: The sounds of the sea and the sea gulls, walking along the beach at low tide looking for fossils and shells, fish and chips from “Fish Box”, a friendly welcome at the Methodist church Sunday service, Sandsend Beach, meal at the Royal Hotel at Runswick Bay, Whitby Abbey, meal at Bramble Bistro, coffee and freshly cooked doughnuts for breakfast at The Galley on the Quarterdeck, Chocolate Truffles from Browns, going on the forest walks around Falling Foss Tea garden.

Thank you so much for providing a homely place to stay. We come here to recharge the batteries before Christmas and both Green Cottage and Robin Hoods Bay did not disappoint. We will definately be back again.

Had a lovely weekend in Robin Hoods Bay and Green Cottage – just what we needed! Very much enjoyed the sea air, beach walks, exploring all the alleyways, fossil hunting……. and fish and chips.
