Green Cottage truly was a home from home
Green Cottage truly was a home from home. We have enjoyed our week here. The weather has been great, so we have done lots of walking and visited local attractions. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio soaking up the sun. RHB remains a firm family favorite. Hope to return soon.

Impressive, quirky and homely

Great Holiday
Had a great holiday in wonderful, quirky Green Cottage and Robin Hoods Bay. Visited Staithes, Goathland and Whitby, had some lovely walks and ate some wonderful food.

First visit to Robin Hoods Bay
It was our first visit to Robin Hoods Bay and we’ve loved it. Great cottage, very warm and comfortable. Thank you for the welcome pack and coal/kindling.
Enjoyed walking around the lanes and fossil hunting on the beach. Walks to Boggle Hole and at Falling Foss waterfall. 13 year old son did the junior off-roading Land Rover experience and rated it 5 star (By Bay Ness Farm).
We ate too many ice creams and cakes! Seagull alarm calls every morning was lovely.
Really hope to visit again.

Comfortable, cosy Green Cottage
We were very comfortable in cosy Green Cottage. It had everything we needed and we loved the decor and mix of modern and old.
Robin Hoods Bay is a beautiful, friendly place to stay and we enjoyed the pubs and cafe’s.
Would recommend the walk to Boggle Hole and the Theakstons Old Peculiar at The Laurel.
Will definitely stay here again, thanks.

Had a lovely weekend in Robin Hoods Bay and Green Cottage – just what we needed! Very much enjoyed the sea air, beach walks, exploring all the alleyways, fossil hunting……. and fish and chips. Then escaping back to our cosy cottage, shutting the door and lighting the fire was fab. Loved all the nautical decor and the rooftop bedroom. Thank you again for a great stay.

Had a wonderful stay in Green Cottage – tastefully quirky and original. The weather has been lovely so we were able to explore Robin Hoods Bay to the full.
Fantastic meal at Bramblewick, but food in general was good and at all places we visited (Victoria Hotel, The Cove and Smugglers),
Would love to come again and definitely recommend.

Cosy characterful charm
We have enjoyed another wonderful week in Robin Hoods Bay, our 8th visit to the village and 2nd stay in Green Cottage. We love the cottages cosy characterful charm and attention to detail that ensures a comfortable home from home. This holiday we enjoyed all our regular haunts in the local pubs, especially enjoyed sitting in the Victoria and looking at the moon cast it’s light over the bay. We went to seaham to hunt for seaglass and visited the Ryedale Folk Museum which was delightful. Had a drink upstairs at Smugglers which was so cosy and atmospheric with the candlelight.
On our last evening in the bay we enjoyed a delicious meal in Bramblewick Restaurant – highly recommend.

Ideal location for the beach and village
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Ideal for the beach and village.
The Grosvenor Hotel at the top of the hill has good food at a good price. The Victoria Hotel also has good food and is a nice setting for a relaxed meal. The Bay Hotel has decent food and is nearby.

The perfect seaside cottage!
Our first visit to Green Cottage and it will definitely not be our last. We have stayed in a number of cottages in RHB but by far this is the best. If there is ever an image in your mind of the perfect seaside cottage then this must be it. Enjoyed a weekend for my 50th and to top it all it kept dry and was beautiful sunshine all day Sunday. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A Wonderful Day
Our second stay in Green Cottage, we love it! Oh, and we got married here too, in the Chapel at Secret Sea View, it was the most wonderful day, and afterwards in Wainwrights bar at the Bay with our family and friends, much jolliness until late!
